As Founder and President of PAIR, an international communication network “where research meets reality,” Deborah applies her business leadership, IT, communication, and strategic skills to bridge gaps between scientists, medical providers, payers, governments, and patients. Her leadership in patient engagement and advocacy started in the 1990s after her first cancer diagnosis and she has vast experience as a patient advocate in translational and clinical research, epidemiology, health outcomes, and health delivery research.
Deborah has collaborated with Health Literacy Media, the Institute for Clinical and Economic Review, the Oncology Research Information and Exchange Network, the National Cancer Institute, FDA, and Society for Immunotherapy in Cancer on methods to increase patient engagement and advocacy including partnerships with academia, federal agencies, the private sector, and patient communities.
