Ben Geyerhahn

ARC Chief Executive Officer

Ben has an extensive career as a healthcare policy expert and startup founder focused on the future of work and gig economy benefits. In 2018, he founded Workers Benefit Fund (WBF), pioneering the first sector-wide portable benefits model for gig workers in partnership with the New York State Black Car Fund. WBF enrolled over 50,000 New York drivers in benefits alone, scaling from from $0 at inception to $8 million in revenue and building a 60-member team across multiple states and internationally. In 2011, Ben founded BeneStream, the first employer-focused platform for public benefits enrollment. BeneStream enrolled tens of thousands in Medicaid, the Essential Plan, and CHIP. HIs background includes healthcare policy work at the state and national levels, advising small businesses before and during ACA implementation, collaborating with MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, and serving on Governor Cuomo’s New York Health Benefits Exchange Regional Advisory Board. Additionally, he served as a founding board member of two nonprofits: SkillUp, now a $10 million annual organization, and Older Adults Technology Services (OATS), which grew from inception to acquisition by AARP. Across these roles, Ben has developed end-to-end expertise in launching and scaling portable benefits systems—spanning policy, regulation, distribution, and user engagement—often in first-of-its-kind environments.
